Is Aussie Cruelty-Free?
Yes, Aussie is recognized cruelty free by PETA! Koalas, wombats and kangaroos, quokkas, bilbies and quolls… whether you’ve heard of them or not, our Australian natives, big and small, are our friends. All of them! That’s why, at Aussie, we’re against animal testing.
We’re a PETA certified cruelty-free hair care brand, so rest assured, you can be kind to kangaroos (and all our other furry friends) while having perfect, bouncy hair too. Aussome!
Aussie is recognized by PETA as cruelty free brand against animal testing – and we’re proud of it!
The Aussie PETA accreditation is part of our global commitment to our furry friends. In some territories like the EU, animal testing on cosmetic products and ingredients is illegal but this is (sadly for our furry friends) not the case everywhere. And even European people are increasingly worried about our furry friends as they learned that the EU may require cosmetic ingredients still to be tested on animals for other EU regulations. The independent global assessment and confirmation by PETA recognizes that at Aussie we do not test our products and their ingredients on animals in any country, worldwide. This is our commitment to our furry friends and our reassurance to you: no matter what country you buy an Aussie product in, you can rest assured that it has not been and will not be tested on animals, now, and in future.
Why choose cruelty free hair products?
Cruelty free hair care means you can have gorgeous hair with bounce and shine, knowing the products you’ve used, from our 3 Minute Miracle Deep Treatments to our serums, and dry shampoos, have all been recognized by PETA.
There are other ways to test hair care products to make sure they’re safe and effective and they don’t involve animals. Cruelty free hair care is the way forward.
What does PETA mean?
Not sure what it means to be PETA certified? No worries, we’ll take you through it. PETA stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. The organization’s been helping to protect animals since the 80s and is now one of the largest animal rights organization in the world!
PETA works to protect animals across industries where they might come into harm or be mistreated, like in food production, the clothing trade and entertainment industry. They focus on education and awareness so you’re more in the know of what you’re buying and what was involved in the product’s creation. They investigate, research, rescue and work hard to protect our furry friends.
It’s all about treating animals with the kindness and respect that you’d expect to be shown. Animals first, beautiful, bouncy hair a close second.
